Ex-civil service chief slammed Liz Truss for sacking his top Treasury official.

Lord O'Donnell said the Prime Minister's dismissal of Sir Tom Scholar as permanent secretary was 'no way to gain respect of the Treasury and the Civil Service".< /p>
