Spending quality time with children is the best thing about a family holiday for more than half of British parents. 

That's according to a survey that asked parents about the elements that make up a perfect family vacation, producing a ranking of 24 entries.  

Of the 2,000 parents questioned as part of the survey, commissioned by on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the holiday villages, 55% agree priority to quality time. 

Being on the beach (43 percent) and going to water parks (43 percent) came in second, while breakfast buffets eating breakfast (41 percent) and finding kid-friendly food options (41 percent) ranked third. 

Parents were divided on their fourth favorite part of a family vacation, namely making sandcastles, finding good ice cream, having a wide choice of restaurants and access adventure playgrounds. all receiving 37% of the vote.
