Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady announce divorce

Model Gisele Bundchen and NFL player Tom Brady have announced they are divorcing after 13 years of marriage.

The couple both released statements on their Instagram stories confirming their separation.

"We came to this decision at amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together," Brady said.

Bundchen added, "We will continue co-parenting to give our children the love, care and attention they so deserve."

The couple have two children together, as well as Brady's son with his ex-partner actress Bridget Moynahan.

Brady and Bundchen started dating in 2006 and went on to got married in early 2009.

The news of their divorce comes after Brady r returned to the NFL for another season despite the previous announcement of his retirement .
