Grealish is 'not a great player' and £100m Man City star 'doesn't deliver enough', expert claims

Graeme Souness has targeted Manchester City winger Jack Grealish as the Englishman 'doesn't deliver enough' for Pep Guardiola's side.

Souness has been on fire for the past few weeks, unjustifiably scoring people left to right and center.

The Liverpool legend has been embroiled in a bizarre feud with former Aston Villa captain Tyrone Mings.

Ten biggest disappointments of the Premier League season, including a Man United signing

He also took aim at new Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi, saying his appointment is a 'risk' as he 'doesn't know our game'. For heaven's sake, Graeme.

Now Grealish is the last to feel the Scotsman's wrath. The ex-Aston Villa star joined Man City last summer for around £100million.

The 27-year-old has struggled to live up to expectations since joining the Etihad but got on the scoresheet against Wolves at the weekend.

Guardiola has moved to defend the midfield in recent weeks. That's when a not particularly reliable outlet reports that Grealish 'expects' to leave Man City next summer.

Souness spoke about Grealish's time at Man City so far. Expert doesn't think he's improved since leaving Aston Villa last year:

"Jack Grealish is a good footballer, he's not a great player," Souness told talkSPORT.

"He's a good player who's had a big shot and has yet to do so at Man City. I go back to his days at Aston Villa where I think they were in the Premier League for two years and in both years he was the Premier League's most faulty player.

"I see that in two ways, I see you have too many keys if you're the dirtiest player and the reason you're the dirtiest player is that you're not seeing the image fast enough .< /p>

"I understand why people think he's better than he actually is, because he runs the ball, he puts you on the edge of your seat but he doesn't deliver enough. He doesn't doesn't see the photo, the right photo, and he doesn't deliver it fast enough.

"I think if he was a star every weekend, we wouldn't be having this kind of conversation about him. I was willing to give him some slack because there's a real dribbling skills.

"I thought he would go to City, every day in training he would be asked to do it faster, he would be asked to deliver what he sees faster, and that hasn't happened to him. I see the same Jack Grealish today that I saw at Aston Villa a few years ago."
