Hae Min Lee's family reportedly agreed to Adnan's release if the evidence was strong

The family of Hae Min Lee - who was allegedly killed at the hands of Adnan Syed - reportedly agreed to his release...but they say they have seen no solid evidence pointing to anyone else -- at least not yet.

Lawyer Steve Kelly, who represents the Lee family, told TMZ … Hae Min's offspring simply don't think what prosecutors submitted to free Adnan was compelling, adding that they don't consider this as real evidence that actually points to another killer or killers.

Kelly says the Lee family was told for 20 years by the Baltimore State's Attorney's Office that Adnan was their man - responsible for Hae Min's death - what a jury at the time agreed when he found him guilty of murder and sentenced him to life in prison.

Now we're told they feel like the rug has been pulled from under them. Kelly tells us that the Lee family would have been fine with getting Adnan out of jail, IF they had in fact bought into the arguments put forward by prosecutors in their recent court filings.

FWIW... prosecutors pointed to notes and/or letters from at least one potential suspect - who was apparently known to cops from the jump and who apparently wrote that he wanted HML to "disappear" and "kill her". The problem, according to prosecutors, is that the notes were not given to AS's defense team during the trial, which is a big no-no because any evidence that could exonerate AS should have been given. .
