American actress Halle Berry's science fiction film, The Mothership, will not be broadcast on Netflix, American media report.

The Hollywood Reporter said Netflix had been sidelined. the film because extensive reshoots were required at the post-production stage.

Co-producer Berry and her team finished filming in 2021, and the release was scheduled for 2022.

Berry and Netflix have not yet commented publicly.

In a preview of the new released in February 2021, Netflix announced: "Oscar winner Halle Berry will star in The Mothership."

He introduced the film as "a science fiction adventure". which follows Sara Morse (Halle Berry) one year after her husband mysteriously disappears from their rural farm.
