Harry Kane in Tottenham's Asia-Pacific tour pre-season squad but no Hugo Lloris

Harry Kane has been included in Tottenham's pre-season Asia-Pacific tour - but club captain Hugo Lloris will remain behind as the French keeper seeks to finalize a move to a new club.

England skipper Kane has entered the final 12 months of his contract with Spurs and is attracting interest from Bayern Munich as the Bundesliga champions have tabled a formal offer.

Along with a few other international players, Kane returned for pre-season training on Wednesday, with new head coach Ange Postecoglou ready to lay out his vision of success for the club's top scorer.

Spurs have confirmed that veteran goalkeeper Lloris has been cleared not to travel on the tour "in order to explore possible transfer opportunities".

Tottenham's stance on Kane, however, hasn't changed since Manchester City tried to sign the striker in 2021.

City's advances have been turned down and the North London club plan to reject any offers for the striker this summer, although his contract is now entering its final 12 months.

Another player set to leave is Croatian winger Ivan Perisic - one of the traveling tour members - as Postecoglou trims a swollen squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign, which kicks off at Brentford on August 13.

Tottenham fly to Perth in Australia - with new signing James Maddison making the trip after the England midfielder's £40million move from Leicester - ahead of an opener against West Ham on July 18 .

Spurs face Leicester in Thailand on July 23 ahead of Singapore, who will face local side Lion City Sailors on July 26 after previous opponents AS Roma, managed by Jose Mourinho, withdrew of their planned trip to Asia.

Several Tottenham players are still sidelined by injury - goalkeeper Fraser Forster (back), defender Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring), midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur (knee), Bryan Gil (back) and Troy Parrott (groin) are all continuing their rehabilitation.
