A hero dog led rescuers to its 84-year-old owner, who had been missing for a week after a manhunt by emergency services failed to locate the pensioner. p>
Gregorio Romero left his house to go for a walk, but got lost in the desert, triggering a search and rescue mission, but after days of searching, the police could not find him.< /p>
When the great manhunt, which even included sniffer dogs, couldn't find Mr. Romero, his faithful pooch El Palomo succeeded where they had failed.
The two-year-old bastard led rescuers towards him after crossing hills, paths and ravines to where Mr. Romero was lying in the Sonoran Desert.
Gregorio was found just 3 km from his home on December 4.
