LeBron James' foot injury didn't stop him from going to Bronny's playoff game on Thursday night...and he's so glad it did because he got to watch his kid die in a thriller! !

Young James and his Sierra Canyon team took on sixth-seeded Etiwanda in Chatsworth, Calif., in a CIF State regional quarterfinal matchup...and Bronny had a great evening.

The 6-foot-3 guard - who was just selected for the McDonald's All-American Game - scored 21 points from all over the field...and even had the chance to throw a huge dunk past dad .

LeBron was front and center watching it all -- clapping his face -- while making sure to keep his injured foot protected by a huge walking boot.

On Bronny's performance, the Trailblazers ultimately won the important game, 61-55 - and LeBron couldn't have been happier afterwards.

"Bronny you were SPECIAL tonight kid!" said James via Twitter. "Keep going! AlwaysProudDad"

Team S.C. Bronny will now head to the semifinals to face Bishop Montgomery, the tournament's second seed, on Saturday.

Fortunately for 'Bron, the Lakers are out on that date... so it's more than likely he'll be on the court for the big game as well.
