Colonel Gaddafi was known for his brutal regime and lavish spending on bizarre luxury items.

Killed in 2011 by rebel forces, Gaddafi owned several homes for himself and his family, including one in the Libyan capital of Tripoli.

His daughter had a town mansion with a golden statue of herself, as well as a luxury bedroom and a swimming pool.

Weird objects such as a huge golden pistol, a model of a human skeleton and a jet ski have been found in the family homes.

Many items were looted when rebel forces took over the country, with the colonel notorious for spending on expensive items - while his people lived in poverty and hunger.

His private plane was also complete with a silver interior.
