J. Cole admits to smoking cigarettes when he was six years old

Before J. Cole smoked in his rap contest, he regularly smoked cigarettes in elementary school - but he thanks his mom for bringing it up to date!!!

Cole made a shocking confession on Golden State Warriors general manager Bob Myers' 'Lead By Example' podcast and admitted to taking his first puffs of tobacco at just six years old...trying to impress fans. older children in his neighborhood of Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Cole says he didn't have a strict upbringing but when his older brother, Zach, caught wind of his shenanigans, he told their mother...and she immediately smelled the cigarette on her breath and proceeded to give her a "life changing" ass whooping!!!

The Dreamville rapper recalls feeling immediate remorse for initially lying to his mother about smoking and changing his ways, which led to his true love for music. Obviously, it worked for him.

After five platinum albums, he hints at retirement but still oversees his stable of Dreamville artists, who all joined forces for the "Creed III" soundtrack last month.

Some habits are hard to break, but luckily Cole has given up on loosies. They could have stunted his growth and his rapping voice!!!
