The Cottagers are apparently faced with the situation over the future of their longtime star leader Aleksandar Mitrovic, who is keen to leave the club in light of a chance to join Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia. They are said to have already rejected offers for his services, and Mitrovic is apparently angry with their stance, believing he was out of the market.

But with Jimenez set to join their ranks now, it stands to reason that they will soon be ready to consider selling the Serbian international.

Newcastle reach agreement with Barnes

Newcastle have finalized and officially confirmed the transfer of Harvey Barnes from Leicester City.

The final price for the 25-year-old winger's services is believed to be around £39million, which is pretty close to what the Magpies would have offered Leicester in the first place.

Barnes is a Leicester academy product, and had loan spells with MK Dons, Barnsley and West Bromwich Albion before being offered a chance to play first-team football at the King Power Stadium. In all competitions, he made a total of 187 appearances for the Foxes, scoring 37 goals and producing 31 assists, and winning the FA Cup with the Community Shield in 2021.

Everton loan Arnaut Danjuma on loan

Everton have confirmed they have successfully brought Arnaut Danjuma to the club on loan from Villarreal. The winger joins the Merseyside Blues on loan for the 2023/24 season.

Everton were close to snapping up the 26-year-old in January, but at the last minute Tottenham Hotspur stepped in and stole the deal. Danjuma played a total of 169 minutes in nine Premier League appearances for Spurs, but he only managed to put the ball in the back of the opposition net once, without any help.

As Everton tweeted, this transfer should be a fresh start for Danjuma, another chance to make his mark in the English top flight, and perhaps help the team avoid another desperate relegation struggle.

Chelsea thinking about Watkins

There is obviously no place for Romelu Lukaku in Mauricio Pochettino's ranks, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and David Datro Fofana are no longer at Stamford Bridge, despite the latter only joining Union Berlin on a one-season loan. Armando Broja is still there and would be keen to make an impact, but it remains to be seen how much trust Pochettino is willing to place in the young Albanian with the club desperately needing him...
