Joss Whedon Wanted Vision To Reveal Everything In His Avengers: Age Of Ultron Debut

In an interview with Conan O'Brien, Bettany shared that the creative team worked hard to create Vision, and renowned "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" creator Joss Whedon had some feedback that he wanted to be implemented - although Kevin Feige said no.

Bettany revealed that Whedon was convinced Vision needed a penis. He didn't necessarily have a reason - just that it would make more narrative sense, seeing Vision being born in a crypt...with a penis. Here's what Bettany said during the interview:

"Joss Whedon was steering the ship at the time. From the start, he wondered, Vision is going to be born, we're going to see him be born, ostensibly naked, he must have a penis. Because he's naked and he's being born. And everybody there, Louis D'Esposito, Kevin Feige, everybody was like, 'Um, I'm not sure that's such a good idea for Vision, for him to come out of the crypt so to speak with a penis. And he said, "I need him, I need to see his penis."
