Kate Moss has revealed how a photo shoot as a teenager opened her eyes to the dangers of the fashion industry.

She told Desert Island on BBC Radio 4 Records program how she ended up with a man who wanted to photograph her for a catalog of bras.

Moss said she was only 15 at the time and he told her to take her bra off.

She said the experience had "sharpened her instincts" and as a result she could "tell a mistake from a mile away".

"I was probably only 15 and he said, 'Take off your top,'" she said.

"I took off my top, and I was really shy at the time about my body, and he said "take off your bra" and I felt there was something was wrong so I took my things and ran away."

Desert Island Discs is on BBC Radio 4 at 11.15am BST on Sundays and on BBC Sounds

Spotted by a talent scout at the age of 14, Moss has was signed by the Storm modeling agency in 1988.

The 48-year-old told presenter Lauren Laverne how she would go to castings alone in London, armed with a simple A to Z Street Guide.
