The real fear that Bellingham prefers Liverpool

Real Madrid are believed to be in the hunt for a deal to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season. The 19-year-old is seen as the missing piece of the puzzle for the midfield trio who are set to pick up the slack once Luka Modric and Toni Kroos follow Casemiro out the exit door, following the arrivals of Eduardo Camavinga and 'Aurelien Tchouameni. /p>

However, many other clubs across Europe are said to be ready to enter this race and make their own plans for Bellingham's signature. One of them is Liverpool, and according to Madrid-based Cadena SER radio Real Madrid fear the England international would actually prefer going to Anfield to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Madrid are confident in their relationship with Dortmund and strongly believe the Bundesliga side would sell to them if a potential offer from the Premier League is accepted. But at this stage they believe convincing the player himself will prove the tricky part, with the Liverpool project under Jurgen Klopp, as well as the prospect of a return to England, seen as important factors in the thinking of Bellingham.
