Klopp expects Liverpool to get three points if Man Utd protests lead to game being canceled

Jurgen Klopp wants Liverpool to receive all three points if their game against Manchester United on Monday at Old Trafford is canceled due to fan protests.

United supporters group 'The 1958' this week announced plans to protest "vile property" and show the Glazer family "this time it won't fall apart".

Fan protests ahead of the match between the two clubs in May 2021, when fans were granted access to the stadium despite the match being scheduled behind closed doors due to COVID-19 protocols, led to the postponement of the contest, with Liverpool winning the rearranged fixture 4-2 a week and a half later.

When asked at a press conference on Friday whether the club had planned a similar situation on Monday, Klopp replied: "Yes, we'll get on the bus and go home.

"I really hope it doesn't happen, but if it does I think we should score some points. We have nothing to do with the situation. If it happens, the fans want the match doesn't happen, we can't just rearrange the game again and fit it somewhere into an incredibly busy [schedule].

"I don't think and I really hope that won't happen. I have no idea what could happen, I don't think about it. I hope we're fine, we're going , let's play the game and go home. But if, and I always think in this situation like this, the other team should score points because they have nothing to do with it. are prepared for it."
