<p>Thousands of pump-action weapons must be removed from British homes, while violent misogyny must be treated as a hate crime to prevent the Plymouth murders from happening again, MP warns.</p>
<p>Labour's Luke Pollard has urged Parliament to back his sweeping overhaul of gun regulations, which is set to be heard on Friday.</p>
<p>Mr. Pollard, who represents Keyham - where 2021 atrocities claimed the lives of five innocent people, including a three-year-old girl - says not enough is being done to tackle incel radicalisation.</p>
<p>He told the Mirror he hoped MPs would back his Keyham Act, which would ban dangerous weapons in homes and start tackling the dangers of violent misogyny.</p>

The MP, whose private member's bill is back in the Commons, continued: 'There's no reason these guns are in people's homes.

Killer Jake Davison, who posted misogynistic material on social media before the August 2021 shootings, murdered five people, including his mother Maxine and three-year-old Sophie Martyn.

The 22-year-old had a license to own a shotgun. Last year there were 23,955 certificates in force for pump-action shotguns and 1,918 certificates for pump-action rifles in England.

Under Mr. Pollard's private member's bill, which is slated for second reading, it would be illegal to bring a pump-action gun into the home except for those with legitimate reasons such as farmers and animal controllers.
