Lionel Messi did what Lionel Messi does best and became the hero of the new Inter Miami team. The 36-year-old came off the bench and earned a free-kick in injury time, before scoring the perfect game-winning goal to kick off his USA era.

The Argentine has officially made his Inter Miami debut after agreeing to sign for the MLS side in early June. He came off the bench for the last 39 minutes of their 2-1 draw against Cruz Azul, and has already created a memorable moment.

Miami fans finally got to see the greatest player to ever set foot in the United States, and Messi even handed them a scoring goal in his first half of football in the United States. He wasn't the only star in the building, either, on a perfect Miami night.

Tom Brady, LeBron James and Kim Kardashian were among the stars to watch Messi's debut, and it didn't disappoint. In a game that lacked composure and consistency, Messi automatically displayed his mark control, and the Cruz Azul defenders kept clear of the Argentine as they anticipated his next moves.
