Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp explains Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota's bench against Rangers

Liverpool returned to Group A after being humiliated by Napoli in their opener. Back-to-back wins over Ajax and Rangers left Klopp's side with six points from three games, with the second leg of the double-header with Rangers played on Wednesday night.

Some have speculated that Klopp is feeling the heat with Liverpool struggling to play with their usual Premier League flair. In a press conference this week, the former Borussia Dortmund boss answered a question about former Reds midfielder Didi Hamann questioning his former side's lack of spark.

"Who said that? Didi Hamann? Oh great," he remarked. "A fantastic source, respected everywhere. [Being a former Liverpool player] doesn't give you the right to say what you want, especially when you have no idea.

"Actually, I don't think Didi Hamann deserves you to use her phrase to ask a question. Try asking without using the word spark."
