Andrew Bridgen has become the second Tory MP to call for the resignation of Liz Truss.

"We can't go on like this. Our country, its people and our party deserve better,” the MP for North West Leicestershire told The Daily Telegraph.

This follows Tory MP Crispin Blunt calling the Prime Minister this morning to go and say 'the game is over' after Liz Truss market chaos inducing a mini budget.

The MP for Reigate launched his call for his resignation as Prime Minister on The Andrew Neil Show tonight on Channel 4, where he said 'the game is over' for Ms Truss.

Former Chancellor George Osborne will also tell the veteran political journalist that Ms Truss is likely to be gone 'before Christmas'.

Meanwhile, former Health Secretary Matt Hancock is expected to take a more optimistic approach, telling the program Ms Truss can survive if she acts now.

Tory MP Jamie Wallis is the third rebel to publicly call for Liz Truss's resignation.

The MP for Bridgend and Porthcawl said he had written to the Prime Minister asking him to stand down.

"Enough is enough," Mr. Wallis said.

"I have watched the government undermine Britain's economic credibility and fracture our Party beyond repair. I have written to the Prime Minister asking him to stand down as he no longer has the confidence of this country.

Wallis criticized "very basic and avoidable mistakes" in the Prime Minister's approach in a letter to Liz Truss shared on Twitter.

He added: “The leadership race was particularly difficult for me. Watching senior colleagues exploit the issue of transgender rights and weaponize it in order to score points...
