Liz Truss wins the leadership race after being elected by 0.12% of the population

Liz Truss will tomorrow become the Conservatives' fourth Prime Minister in six years, having been elected by just 0.12% of the UK population.

She may be another new face in the top job, but there are fears she could continue the Tory failure and neglect that has seriously hurt Britain.

Labour deputy leader Angela Rayner said: 'All Britain has to show in the last 12 years of Conservative government is low wages, high prices and a cost crisis of the life of curators."

She added, "Liz Truss offers more of the same old failed Conservative ideas that got us into this mess."

While concerns linger that the Tories are steering Britain's economy and public services ever closer to the edge of the cliff, at least one member of the old guard has already walked away.
