Maker Faire Philly busts myths and more this weekend

This Saturday at the Independence Seaport Museum, Maker Faire Philly brings together makers, inventors and creators busy busting myths and more. The Independence Seaport Museum, a museum dedicated to discovering and preserving Philadelphia's maritime history, sponsors and hosts the event along the Philadelphia waterfront. This amazing place even features the oldest floating steel warship in the world, the cruiser Olympia and the WWII submarine Becuna. We reached out to the producers at Maker Faire Philly and they shared ten reasons to get out there and get made this Saturday.

10. It's fun for all ages!

After a multi-year hiatus, The Greatest Show & Tell on Earth is bringing creators out of the carpentry to create, inspire and entertain!

Artists include Tommy Mintz, who creates an interactive algorithmic generation of time-lapse viewers and Yemisi Ajayi, an innovative textile artist working in traditional Yoruba fabric, patterns and dyeing.

8. Craft!

Come meet the folks at Tuft the World, learn how to tuft a rug, and learn about Lynette Rodriguez of Light Bird Crafts who makes handmade ceramics inspired by nature.
