An adorable dog has been abandoned on a busy road with a heartbreaking note attached to his collar.

The dog, named Siggy, was running aimlessly 'in the middle of a busy road' at Jalan Canning Estate in Canning Garden, Ipoh, Malaysia, when Lionel Keith Vytialingam stopped to help him.

The goldendoodle was very lucky to escape the road uninjured as cars continued to pass her all day.

It wasn't until Lionel got him into his car that he saw a soggy "not" pinned to his collar.

It read: "WOOF! Hi! My name is Siggy, and I'm the most loving and caring dog you've ever seen!

"My master is very sorry that he had to leave me here with you, but he can't take care of me anymore. I'm very sorry about that, because I'm sure he is too.

"Please take me to your home. Please let me be part of your family. Please love me.
