Martha Stewart celebrates her 81st birthday with a selfie after a "too much" Chardonnay

Martha Stewart is 81 and ready to have fun. The lifestyle guru - who over the years has had his own TV show, magazine and line of homewares, among others - celebrated his 81st birthday on August 3 in a way probably all too familiar to others birthday partygoers.

Posting an up-close "birthday selfie" on Instagram, Stewart wrote that she took the photo before a "big birthday dinner" but after "a delicious lunch and a little too much Martha's chard." In the image, Stewart has a new make-up face as she purses her lips and wears a khaki colored shirt. The post inspired many happy birthday wishes from stars like "Betty" rapper Yung Gravy, who wrote, "Happy birthday bae."

Martha's Chard is, of course, his wine from the 19 Crimes label, a brand also associated with Stewart's close friend Snoop Dogg.

In June, Snoop appeared on Stewart's iHeart podcast, "The Martha Stewart Podcast," and told his friend that when asked about their relationship, "I always say we're best friends. ". So close, even, that Snoop's late mother was once a guest on their cooking show, which ran from 2016 to 2020 and was called "Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party."
