Matt Hancock accused of 'not bothering' to bring up dyslexia right now on I'm A Celeb

He told Tory whips he wanted to 'use his time in the jungle to promote his dyslexia campaign' - but ITV has yet to broadcast a second of him speaking the reason

Matt Hancock has been accused of 'not bothering' to mention dyslexia once so far on I'm a Celebrity - despite boasting that was the reason he join the show.

In his two episodes so far, the former health secretary has gotten himself into mud and bugs, and opened up about his affair with his aide, saying, "I messed up and I I confessed".

But not a second of his conversation about dyslexia has yet been shown on ITV - despite leaving Parliament to fly off to the Australian jungle.

When asked why he was there on his first night, he replied that he had a "sense of adventure" and wanted to "use that to loosen me up a bit and be just me".

He added, "The honest truth is that there are so few ways politicians can show that we are human beings."

Some fans have commented that the ITV show may have removed mentions of dyslexia so far.

The show declined to confirm or deny whether this is the case.

A spokesperson said: "It is not possible to show everything that happens in the camp due to time constraints, we are a 60-75 minute entertainment show.

“We always aim to produce a show that is a fair and accurate portrayal of camp life.”

But Mr. Hancock's team has yet to claim that he is trying to address dyslexia on the show and it is being edited.

Instead, we were told that he had already brought up the dyslexia profile, partly because we asked him why he hadn't.

Daisy Cooper, deputy leader of the Lib Dem, said Mr Hancock was 'missing' as he demanded an £84,144 salary as an MP.

She said, "The worst part is that her reason - to promote dyslexia awareness - hasn't even been revealed.
