The music world paid tribute to the lead singer of British dance group Faithless with a DJ Briton hailing him as "incredible talent".

Maxi Jazz, real name Maxwell Fraser, died "peacefully in his sleep" on Friday evening.

The musician and DJ was a core member of Faithless - a band best known for their club classic Insomnia.

Dutch trance legend Armin van Buuren hopes jazz music will continue to "inspire others".

Various aspects of the music industry have continued to pay tribute to jazz since news of his death was announced.

Indie label Rough Trade Records said the 65-year-old had played a "central role in the world of British electronica".

British DJ judge Jules described Jazz as "incredibly talented and a complete gentleman", while DJ and radio presenter Mistajam remarked that "the lyrics and Jazz performances touched so many of us".
