Mean Girls Musical Film Adaptation Adds Jon Hamm and 2 Others to Cast

The upcoming film adaptation of the musical Mean Girls - itself based on the beloved 2004 film of the same name - has added three additional actors to its cast.

THR reports that Jon Hamm is set to portray Coach Carr, who was originally played by Dwayne Hill in the film. Deadline recently reported that Mahi Alam and Connor Ratliff will also star in the new adaptation. Alam will play Kevin G, who was originally played by Rajiv Surendra, while Ratliff will play a teacher named Mr. Rapp.

The three actors join previously announced cast members Angourie Rice, Jaquel Spivey, Auli'i Cravalho, Reneé Rapp, Jenna Fischer and Busy Philipps, as well as Tina Fey and Tim Meadows, who will reprise their respective roles as Mrs. Norbury and the Principal Duvall.

The musical film adaptation Mean Girls is slated for a Paramount+ first launch, though it currently has no release date. The original Mean Girls movie was released in 2004 and became an enduring success. The musical, based on the film, premiered in Washington D.C. in 2017 and debuted on Broadway in 2018.
