At least one person has died and dozens more have been injured after part of a stage collapsed at a music festival.

A 22-year-old man died and more than 20 were injured when part of the main stage and entrance structure to the venue that hosted the Medusa Festival in Cullera, Spain.

High winds reportedly brought down the scene in the early hours of Saturday morning, with some reports suggesting gusts reaching up to 40 mph.

According to , the Civil Guard and the local Cullera branch evacuated the scene within minutes, while health teams assisted and evacuated the most seriously injured to various hospitals.
