Megan Thee Stallion: Jury finds Tory Lanez guilty of shooting rapper

Rapper Tory Lanez was found guilty of shooting fellow hip-hop star Megan Thee Stallion in 2020.
A jury of Los Angeles convicted the 30-year-old Canadian of the felony of careless discharge of a firearm, assault with a semi-automatic firearm and carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm. p>
He faces more than 20 years in prison.
Megan Thee Stallion, a 27-year-old rapper Grammy winner, earlier testified that she was shot in the feet after leaving a pool party.
Lanez showed no reaction when the verdict was read. He was remanded in custody and is due to be sentenced on January 27.
It was not immediately clear if he was planning to appeal.
Speaking after the case was concluded, one of Megan Thee Stallion's attorneys told reporters "the jury got it right. I'm grateful that justice be done to Meg". The rapper was not present in court to hear the verdict.
