Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are not "universally revered" and some think they "have a bit of an attitude", according to claims from their fellow citizens living in Montecito, California.

After leaving the Royal Family in 2020, the 38-year-old Duke and 41-year-old Duchess of Sussex moved to the glitzy neighborhood and moved into a sprawling castle, where they are raising their two three-year-old children. Archie, one year old, and Lilibet, one year old.

The house is supposed to have a cinema, private gym, tennis court and spa, alongside Archie and Lilibet's own playground, reports The Daily Express.

Reporters traveled to the seaside town to speak to local residents on the street about the celebrity couple.

Katie, who works as a retired college professor, said the Sussexes' move to Montecito had "divided" many residents.

She said, "A lot of people think, 'yeah fun,' but a lot of people think, 'they've got a little attitude.'

"I don't think they are universally revered."
