The men and women who influence them

In a world where men are discredited, devalued and shunned by many women, it's time to take a pro-male stance, to affirm that men are terribly and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) in the image of God (Genesis 1:27).

It's time for godly women to express overwhelming support for God's male creation and agree with its confirmation in Genesis 1:31: "God saw all that he had done, and it was very good. »

Why do women reject men?

Colossians 3:19 encourages: “Husbands, love your wives and do not be hard on them. »

Thus, “Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, raise them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.”

Yet in trying to establish their God-given position in life, some men have adopted destructive habits. They chose hurtful and sinful tactics in their attitudes and treatment of their wives, daughters, sisters, colleagues, students, etc. Because of this, many women don't respect or believe that men deserve a place in their lives or in the world.

Other men simply failed to come across unrealistic ideas. Many young women have such high expectations for young husbands that they leave no room for failure or growth, believing a husband is ready for the job with the knowledge and maturity to become instantly the perfect husband. Not wanting to deal with a husband's inexperience and shortcomings, some quickly let him down and leave the marriage.

Silver divorces are also on the rise, with women who have been married for decades leaving their husbands behind and embarking on a quest to free themselves from marital commitments. Patience in marriage seems to have taken precedence over personal happiness, fulfillment, and a woman's entitlement. In contrast, pent up bitterness and resentment have taken root over the years, and forgiveness is at an all time low.

Yet, although some men have failed miserably, there are men who, although not perfect, are loving, capable, caring, willing and ready to become what God called to be.

Where did it all start?

Many women are unaware that it was Eve, and not Adam, who was deceived in the Garden of Eden. I like to remember that sometimes men can discern truth from deception better than women.

"Then the Lord God said to the woman, 'What have you done?' The woman said, 'The serpent deceived me, and I ate'” (Genesis 3:13).< /p>

Although the Bible says that Eve was deceived, it does not say anywhere that Adam was deceived. It seems that in Eve's naivety and innocence, she couldn't see through the serpent's deception. But Adam went with him, following his wife wherever she led him.

"The man said, 'The woman whom you put here with me, she gave me of the fruit of the tree, and I ate of it'" (Genesis 3: 12).

So why didn't Adam defend Eve? Looks like he threw her under the bus with his answer. But maybe he was just telling the truth about Eve's ability to influence him, her words so persuasive that he couldn't resist her influence.

Underestimating a woman's influence

Is it possible that, on the whole, women have underestimated and haven't fully grasped the incredible influence God has given us in the lives of men? If so, is there a lesson in the Adam and Eve story that many of us missed?

1 Peter 3:1-2 offers insight into this incredible ability to affect men with what God has bestowed within us, so effective that we don't even need to utter a single word to see it work. in a powerful and transformative way in the lives of our husbands.

"Wives, likewise submit to your husbands so that even if they refuse to take their word for it, they will be won over without words by the behavior of their wives when they will see your purity and reverent attitude" (1 Peter 3:1).

Adam took the fall for sin

Genesis 2:18 explains: “The Lord God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a suitable helper."

Eve was created with a call to help Adam. Is it possible that the serpent recognized him, realizing that his way to the fall of man was through his God-given persuasions...
