A company linked to the husband of fellow Conservative Michelle Mone has pumped tens of thousands of pounds into the Conservative Party's war chest.
At least £171,480 was donated before Baroness Mone, 51, and her husband Doug Barrowman, 57, allegedly benefited from a multi-million pound Covid PPE contract.
The money was paid through a UK-registered company, Lancaster Knox LLP, which is part of Mr Barrowman's Isle of Man-based Knox Group. Electoral Commission records show donations from May 2017 to June 2019.
They included three cash prizes of £50,000 each and auction prizes worth over £17,000.
Sources said there was no link between the donations and the award of £200m in PPE contracts to a company they recommended, called PPE Medpro.
>HSBC documents leaked in November allegedly show £65million was paid into a trust for the benefit of Mr Barrowman in September 2020.
