Missing woman found dead on road after last seen taking taxi at night

A missing woman has been found dead on a road after she was last seen taking a taxi at a party.

The 25-year-old woman's body disappeared after taking a taxi, but was later found on a Mexican highway.

Ariadna Fernanda López Díaz disappeared in the La Condesa neighborhood of Mexico City on October 30

She had just enjoyed a night out at a bar with friends before hopping in the taxi to take her home.

But Ariadna never came home and worried relatives reported her missing and posted pictures on social media.

The following day, a group of cyclists came across a body on the La Pera-Cuautla highway near the town of Santiago Tepetlapa in the state of Morelos, 85 km south of the Mexican capital.

They reported the discovery to the police and one of them posted images of the victim's tattoos on social media to help concerned relatives identify the victim.

Authorities arrived at the scene and removed the young woman's body to undergo an autopsy.

Local authorities confirmed the body as Ariadna on November 2.

Meanwhile, friends and relatives of Ariadna have demanded justice for the young woman's violent death and vowed never to stop until her killer is behind bars.
