A magician of the moment is attacked on stage on a cruise ship as he tries an intimate trick

Australian magician Ben Murphy invited a female passenger on stage for a trick that saw him pass a folded card from her mouth to hers while performing on Quantum of the Royal Caribbean Seas on March 1

Magician attacked on stage during Royal Caribbean cruise

A magician was tackled in rugby by a man who got angry that he was doing an intimate trick with his partner.

Ben Murphy was inches away from crossing lips with a volunteer passenger during a show on Royal Caribbean's Quantum of the Seas cruise on March 1.

In the clip, which was recorded by an audience member, Murphy and the woman sit next to each other on stage as he uses his mouth to bite off a card that has been wedged between her lips.

As part of the cheeky routine, he leaned down and tenderly touched their cards together.

But someone was not a fan of the performance, rushing onto the stage and pinning the illusionist to the ground.

Murphy's face lights up in terror as he is shot.
