MP Andrew Bridgen 'bombarded' cabinet ministers with Covid allegations before losing the Tory whip for linking the vaccine to the Holocaust.

Prime Minister slammed North The MP for West Leicestershire's comments are 'completely unacceptable'.

The Conservative Party's chief whip also said Mr Bridgen had 'crossed a line' and had "caused great offense in the process".

A cabinet minister told The Independent that he was "myself the recipient" of the claims of Mr. Bridgen regarding the vaccine.

On Wednesday, Mr. Bridgen tweeted an article about vaccines, adding: "As a consultant cardiologist told me, this is the biggest crime against vaccines. humanity since the Holocaust."

Asked if he had sent any messages to government ministers, Mr Bridgen added: "Of course I tried to get the science, facts and data in front of ministers. I have a duty to raise my grave concerns about experimental mRNA gene therapy treatments and to protect the lives of my constituents and the general British public.

But Professor Sir Andrew Pollard, who helped develop the Oxford/AstraZeneca jab, and Professor Adam Finn, a member of the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunization, have both denounced the claims.

Sir Andrew said: "It is essential to the scientific process that hypotheses about the safety and efficacy of vaccines are rigorously tested in clinical trials, and data is challenged by independent researchers and experts, and subject to careful and detailed regulatory review, to ensure that we always base our vaccine policy decisions on the best scientific evidence and their interpretation.< /p>

"The emergence of new data or evidence is welcome in science to ensure that conclusions can be reviewed and revised as necessary so that the most effective and cost-effective use of the vaccines continues ve.

“Ideological beliefs for or against vaccination are not scientific and have no role to play in shaping the best policy. anti-vax conspiracy theories".
