MultiVersus has finally launched its maiden voyage with Season 1. The new Battle Pass is available, including both free and paid varieties. Developer Player First Games also announced two new fighters.

The first season features several additions to MultiVersus, including character balancing, more achievable battle pass requirements, and new free characters in rotation (including Arya, Batman, LeBron James, and Steven Universe). Player First also plans to add Classic Arcade Mode and a new Ranked Mode in Season 1.

As part of the Season 1 launch, Warner Bros. also announced two more characters for the roster: Black Adam and DC Comics' Stripe from Gremlins. Both will be rolling out to players in the coming months. Both fighters previously appeared in leaked rosters. Additionally, Rick & Morty's Morty Smith will join the roster on August 23.

Warner Bros. has not confirmed when Black Adam or Stripe will be released. Presumably, Adam's addition will coincide with the DCEU movie of the character of the same name, which will be released in October. MultiVersus director Tony Huynh confirmed on Twitter that both will be rolled out in the first season. Another character set to join later in the season is Rick Sanchez.
