"I had the right voice at the right time. It took me to a whole new stratosphere." Magnolia Pictures has revealed the official trailer for a unique documentary film titled < em>Joan Baez I. Am A Noise, described as "neither a conventional biopic nor a traditional concert film". This documentary originally premiered at the 2023 Berlin Film Festival earlier this year, and it also screened at the SXSW, Hot Docs, San Francisco, and Nantucket film festivals. At the end of a 60-year career, legendary singer and activist Joan Baez takes an honest look back and a deep look inside as she attempts to make sense of her great, historic life and the personal struggles she she kept it private. Born in 1941, Baez has performed in public for over 60 years and has released over 30 albums. Fluent in Spanish and English, she has also recorded songs in at least six other languages. She is a passionate advocate for human rights and has always worked as an activist protesting in any way she can, making a real difference. She spends part of this documentary talking about "leaving" all her work now that she's 82, and what fame means, as well as everything she's experienced in her extraordinary life.

Joan Baez I Am A Noise is co-directed by filmmakers Karen O'Connor (producer, director of "Frontline"), Miri Navasky (director of " Frontline") and Maeve O'Boyle (editor, director of The 8th doc).
