Natalia Dyer and Asa Butterfield in 'All Fun & Games' Horror Film Trailer

"It Only Ends When He Wins." Vertical has unveiled an official trailer for the horror thriller titled All Fun & Games, marking the first feature film by two filmmakers: Eren Celeboglu & Ari Costa. It was produced by the Russo Brothers' AGBO company, though they sold it to Vertical for a junk release without much hype. Doesn't sound that exciting. AGBO presents a terrifying story about a group of Salem teenagers who discover a cursed knife that unleashes an evil demon that forces them to play gruesome and deadly versions of childhood games where there can be no winners, only survivors. "There's an element of cruelty built into every children's game – think Flashlight Tag, Hangman, Simon Says – but what if that cruelty was taken too far?" All Fun & Games stars Natalia Dyer, Asa Butterfield, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, Laurel Marsden, with Annabeth Gish and Keith David. It feels like such a goofy plot for a horror movie, almost like a fake SNL trailer. I mean really? After this year's Talk to Me, this film seems to have been made by Asylum.

While playing a mostly innocent game, a group of children summon a demon, which possesses one of them. Marcus then forces the other children to play traditional games, with deadly consequences: Red Rover on a roof, Flashlight tag with fire, Simon Says jumping from a water tower, etc. The surviving children, including Marcus' brother and sister, must face the demon to save themselves. All Fun and Games is co-directed by filmmakers Eren Celeboglu and Ari Costa ( an associate producer of the Russo Brothers films), both making their directorial debuts after numerous other shorts. The screenplay is written by J.J. Braider, Eren Celeboglu and Ari Costa. Produced by Angela Russo-Otstot, Kassee Whiting and John Zois. Manufactured by the Russo Brothers' AGBO and Anton production company. Vertical will be releasing All Fun and Games in select US theaters + on VOD starting September 1, 2023. Anyone interested?
