Nigerian comedian and actress, Damilola Adekoya, better known as the princess, sounded the alarm on Monday over the rape and death of a 10-year-old child in Ayobo region, Nigeria. Lagos State.

In a video on her Instagram page, Princess said the incident happened on Sunday, adding that police denied the victim's family access to the child's corpse.

So she appealed to the general public to go to the Ayobo police station and help the child's mother get justice.

The tearful princess said, "If you live around Ayobo, please help me go to the Ayobo police station. This girl was raped and killed yesterday. Her name is Aïcha.< /p>

"When you arrive at Ayobo police station, please send me your number by DM. The police do not allow the child's mother to see the child. The police just said that they couldn't see her; that they took her to the morgue.

"She's almost losing her mind. I'm begging you. This could be anyone's child. She was going to church yesterday. They raped her, killed her in the afternoon and dumped in someone's compound."

When contacted, Ayobo Command Divisional Police Officer Charles Oladele said he could not comment on the matter, adding that the Ayobo Police Public Relations Officer Lagos, Ben Hundeyin, was in the right position to do so.< /p>

"Please, if you need any information on this, go through the Lagos State PPRO. Better try to call them. It is not the duty of my office to give you this information,” Oladele told our correspondent by phone.

Calls to Hundeyin went unanswered and messages sent to him had not yet been answered at the time of this report.
