Osun: CP directs area commanders, DPDs and others to secure peace

Osun State Police Commissioner Wale Olokode has given concrete orders to area commanders, divisional police officers and tactical commanders to embark on rigorous/intensive operations and intelligence-based policing to ensure peace in the state.

This development comes as the state faces attacks and counterattacks from individuals, political parties/supporters, and carriers unfolding after the gubernatorial election in the state.< /p>

In a statement signed by the Command Public Relations Officer, SP Yemisi Opalola, the Commissioner of Police issued the order to ensure that public places are not taken over by individuals and groups criminally minded, stemming the tide of this unwarranted trend. .

Olokode, while giving command security action plans to his lieutenants to combat all forms of crime in the state, urged political gladiators to play the game by the rules.

The Chief of Police urged the people of the state to “pursue their lawful activities as the police personnel, together with the other security officers, have been instructed to maintain absolute peace.
