2023: SouthWest APC spokespersons congratulate Akeredolu and call for thematic campaigns
All Progressives Congress (APC) Publicity Secretaries in the South West have congratulated Ondo State Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) on his appointment as Coordinator of the South West of the Tinubu/Shetima Presidential Campaign Council.< /p>
At a meeting in Abeokuta, capital of Ogun State, APC image makers decided to “explore the inherent benefits of unity and cohesion to maximize the potential in the interest of the party and its candidates".
In a statement yesterday signed by APC Zone Publicity Secretaries Conference Secretary Alex Kalejaye, the body welcomed the appointment of the Governor of Ondo State to the post. zonal general manager for the Asiwaju-Shettima presidential campaign, and promised to cooperate with the zonal general manager and “other stakeholders to ensure a landslide victory for the party in the South West in the upcoming elections.
“We recognize the vocal and constant push for the Zone Party to be President in Southern Nigeria by Akeredolu and all other Governors and Party Leaders in the Zone. Akeredolu’s nomination therefore comes as no surprise to us. consider it to be surprisingly appropriate and of strategic value,” the statement read.
The spokespersons called for "issue-based campaigns, devoid of fake news and hate speech, to strengthen peace and harmonious relations between ethnic leaders and stakeholders for the greater good of the Nigeria".
To conduct its affairs, the meeting unanimously endorsed the APC spokesperson in Ogun State, Comrade Tunde Oladunjoye, as the Zone Coordinator, while Hon. Alex Kalejaye of Ondo State will be the secretary.
The meeting also recognized the parenting role of the APC Conference of Publicity Secretaries (CAPS) and promised to work in concert with the publicity secretaries of the party in all other zones of the federation.
