369 newly recruited officers deployed to police divisions in Niger
The Niger State Command of the Nigerian Police has deployed no less than 369 officers in various formations across the state.
The constables, according to the command spokesman, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, were natives of the state who were recently recruited by the Nigerian Police.
Police Commissioner, CP Ogundele Ayodeji, urged the new officers to be professional in carrying out their duties, to effectively use their knowledge acquired during the training exercise and to avoid any acts of corruption , incivility, indiscipline, drunkenness, delay. , absenteeism and other vices.
The Chief of Police reiterated the directive from the Inspector General of Police, (IGP) Usman Alkali Baba that all constables would be deployed to their various local government areas in line with community policing policy of the government.
"I have instructed all Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) across the state to transport constables to their divisions for immediate deployment accordingly," said CP Ayodeji
He, however, thanked the federal government for recruiting additional Nigerian police, especially as the 2023 general election was approaching.
