Adebayo and Abiola Agboola host a colorful wedding in Lagos (PHOTOS)

The peaceful Ipinyewa community of Adamo, a suburb of Ikorodu in Lagos State, came alive on Friday, December 2, as the Omosakin and Agboola families united.

The ceremony celebrated the rich Yoruba cultural tradition by witnessing the bride price payment ceremony of their children, Adebayo Agoola and Abiola Omosakin.

The couple's parents graced the intimate ceremony, as did their families and a few friends.

Hours earlier, the lovebirds had, in the presence of their family and some friends, legalized their union at the Ikorodu register, where they had exchanged their vows.

The Islamic Nikkah ceremony was held on Saturday at Masbat De-King Hotel, Ikorodu, while the reception was held at the same venue.

friendship to love

The couple say their trip is not love at first sight.

Mr. Adebayo said he met his wife through a friend and they rarely go out with other friends. As the day went on, as he says, he began to notice traits in her that he desired in a wife.

At some point, he felt the need to move.

And that is precisely what he did.

"I met her through a friend. We started as friends first, and I happened to notice some things about her, and I started to develop an attraction,” he recalls, all smiles.

According to him, there are qualities she possesses that made him know she had to be the right one.

"She has a caring heart. She also has foresight, and I could easily see that she is someone I can build a home with. She is encouraging and full of good advice.

"At some point I started to see her as a business partner because I'm in the business. Her foresight and guidance helps me a lot in my business," a- he said.

A graduate of Osun State University, where he studied physics, young Adebayo is a solar engineer. It is also in the properties.

Another thing that endeared him to his wife, he said, was his love for God. Although she came from a Muslim family, she had since embraced Christianity, even before they met.

As the Bible says, the lines fell for him in pleasant places.

“I met her as a Christian. It was not me who converted her. With her, I look forward to having a happy home with children,” he adds.

The bride, Mrs. Abiola, agreed that they met as friends and stayed that way for a while before deciding to make the trip to her.

They officially started dating in September 2021, she said. She added that he was the “specialist” she was looking for, so going on a date and marrying him felt more like a done deal.

"He's the kind of person I like. I like him because I found connections in him that I didn't find in other guys. He's patient, worthy of confident and caring,” she said.

Ms. Abiola, host of the Nigerian Television Authority, received her higher education in the Republic of Benin.

"I'm so happy. It's going exactly as I expected," she added amid laughs. content/files/2022/12/photo-3-scaled.jpg" alt= "" width="2560" height="1707" srcset="https://media.premiumtimesng.com/wp-content/files/2022/12/photo-3-scaled.jpg 2560w, https://media. premiumtimesng.com/wp-content/files/2022/12/photo-3-524x349.jpg 524w, https://media.premiumtimesng.com/wp-content/files/2022/12/photo-3-1620x1080.jpg 1620w, https://media.premiumtimesng.com/wp-content/files/2022/12/photo-3-768x512.jpg 768w, https://media.premiumtimesng.com/wp-content/files/2022/12 /photo-3-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://media.premiumtimesng.com/wp-content/files/2022/12/photo-3-2048x1365.jpg 2048w, https://media.premiumtimesng.com/wp -content/files/2022/12/photo-3-750x500.jpg 750w, https://media.premiumtimesng.com/wp-content/files/2022/12/photo-3-1140x760.jpg 1140w" sizes=" (max width: 2560px) 100vw, 2560px"/>
