Alice + Olivia RTW Spring 2023

Saturday night, Stacey Bendet hosted guests at "Alice + Olivia's House".< /p >

Inspired by the stream of consciousness of "his clothes inspiring interiors, and his interiors inspiring clothes" while redoing her apartment, the designer staged the presentation of her spring collection with vignettes designed to look like "Wonderland" type rooms in a house, with "ladies of the house" wearing matching clothes - a true head-to-toe or floor-to-ceiling look.

The look: A blend of maximalist glamour, playful whimsy and signature girlish flare.

Note quote: "The dining room looks like a party in a ball gown; a living room - which is kinda Wonderland-y - is made entirely of denim and we put every denim look in it; there's a wildly cool picture frame room that's all about Pop Art with everyone in bright colors; the bar - i wanted her to feel like the madam of the house in glamorous, lingerie-feel dresses with martini glasses; our bedroom is covered in flower prints and covered in cakes - I wanted the tulle to look like candy. is our living room, we actually took all the floral prints from the dresses for the bedroom,” the designer explained of the setup.

Key pieces: a voluminous floral organza skirt with a matching mesh t-shirt; playful suits ranging from a denim rendition to colorful layers of satin and vegan leather (like a bright blue trench coat and cropped blazers); loads of girly dresses, including relaxed tulle-covered T-shirt dresses, cupcake minis, elaborately decorated cocktail shakers, brightly colored flowy maxis and embroidered lace satin babydolls; cropped rugby shirts; crystal embellished corsets; fringed jeans and vegan leather trucker hats.

The takeaway: Bendet's cheerful collection offered a bit of something for everyone, with a touch of drama and glamorous bright colors throughout.
