APC has upset Nigeria – Ogun PDP senatorial candidate Aderinokun

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate for Ogun Central, Olumide Aderinokun, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of upsetting the nation.

Aderinokun said the APC under President Muhammadu Buhari had left Nigeria in a pathetic situation, saying the country "now finds itself in a state of emergency with fears that the worst could happen to the country". economy and safety".

Aderinokun lamented what he called the huge fall in the country's surplus crude oil account, the dwindling value of the naira, and the sequential terrorist attacks in the Federal Capital Territory and other parts of the country.

"Our economy is in danger because the government has alerted us that it is spending all of its revenue on debt servicing, which just means we are on the precipice," Aderinokun told DAILY POST in a cat.

The senatorial candidate expressed sadness that "the same government keeps saying that the oil sales surplus revenue account has gone from $35 million to $376,000 in one year."

He said the nation was at a stage where the APC government was still trying to win praise "for leading us into predictable debt crises without any economic success.

"They've turned everything upside down and are trying to normalize the recession.

"The world is suffering from inflation but that does not stop the government from protecting Nigerians with internal mechanisms, and we should not have come to this."

Aderinokun also condemned the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), which has been preventing students from attending school since February.

Owu's Akinruyiwa called on the federal government to respond to the teachers' demands and take the issue seriously.

He added, "It shouldn't take the government this long to call ASUU for dialogue and find a solution to the teachers' demands.

"Every day we see our young people at home while their peers from private universities are two levels ahead of them. Some have not yet completed their admissions process since last year and we have another batch that wrote JAMB this year. This is not normal."
