APC support groups hold a solidarity march for Tinubu ahead of the inauguration

Prior to the inauguration of the President-elect on May 29, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the umbrella organization for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Support Groups, the APC Merged Support Groups, South-Zone West, yesterday organized a solidarity march for the seat of power in Lagos State to register their support for the inauguration and their disagreement with those trying to fan the embers of division in the country over an alleged conspiracy of the Interim National Government (ING).

The southwestern coordinator of the group, Alhaji Ganiyu Akeem Adesina, who spoke to reporters, said the solidarity march was organized to show the strong and unwavering determination of APC support groups in the south -west to see the inauguration of Tinubu as president.

Adesina said the support groups had an overwhelming support base of more than five million people in the South West alone, adding that the march is a strong warning to those who believe they can overturn the will of the generality of Nigerians and force the president to go against the constitution of the country by not investing the winner of the election of February 25, 2023 for the presidency.

Also speaking, the Vice President of APC Support Groups in the South West, Johnson Adepoju Ademola, said they had come in droves to show everyone that APC supporters in the Southwest aren't ready to settle for anything other than the inauguration of the president-elect.

He also urged President Muhammadu Buhari not to listen to dissenting voices urging him to ignore the outcome of the February 25, 2023 elections and inaugurate an interim national government.

Similarly, the group's state coordinator, Dr Erinola Abayomuyiwa Eric, said the crowd of support groups that showed up for the solidarity march was a clear indication that the presidential election was not rigged but that the people freely gave their votes to the winner of the election.
