"For me, the past has always had incredible value, because everything we learn comes from When selecting the pieces for the Archive project, I started looking at all the fashion shows, choosing the pieces that best illustrate the continuity of the brand over time, from its origins to today, into the future,” said Lee Wood, creative director of Bikkembergs since 2016.

The sale of 53 pieces will be held for a short time and will be organized on three drops, with prices ranging from 350 euros for the t-shirts to 3900 euros for the oversized shearling coat.

It pays homage to the founder of the brand and his play with the iconography of football and sport often summarized under the term "Sport Nickname "Couture". The designer took as models famous football champions, including Fabrizio Ravanelli and Paolo Cannavaro, and acquired the club FC Fossombrone in 2005, with the images of the campaign of the team.

Wood characterizes objects as timeless. "[These are] pieces that don't need to be updated for our customers to love them, just to be discovered and worn again. They demonstrate, if need be, that Dirk Bikkembergs has always been ahead of its time."

The company said the initiative is aimed at younger generations who have not experienced the memorable days of the brand and pays homage to the city of Antwerp, where Bikkembergs started his career within the Antwerp Six movement.

The campaign images for the project were shot by Ismaël Moumin in the Belgian city against its quays and its mills.
