Bogoro LG boss seeks synergy with police and other security agencies to tackle insecurity

The Chairman of Bogoro LG in Bauchi State, Hon Iliya Habila, reiterated his determination to work in synergy with the State Police Command and other security officers so that crime can be reduced and crime in the locality.

Habila said this when Deputy Police Commissioner Edwin JM paid him a working visit to his office in Bogoro over the weekend, stressing that safety of life and property is paramount to the good existence of the residents.

He said: "Thank you for your visit to Bogoro and I want to assure you that I will be operational to ensure that our people, whatever their tribe or religion, sleep with their eyes closed."< /p>

The Chairman of the Board further emphasized, "Safety of life and property is very important to me. Without safety, people cannot go to the farm, do business and even go to the office. As Chief Security Officer of this LGA, I will work hard to keep this area very quiet and peaceful."

He further said that his administration will prioritize the safety of life and property because, in his view, "safety of life is a fundamental duty of any government. I will prioritize safety and to peaceful coexistence. I will not cover anyone who breaks the law of the land."

Habila then urged members of the public to help the police by providing them with credible information to help them flush out the bad eggs among the locals.

Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner of Police said that he was in Bogoro LGA to seek the support of the good people in the region towards the police.

Edwin revealed that as the country prepares for the 2023 general election, the need for society to cooperate with the police and government to ensure peace and security cannot be overstated.

The DCP has asked members of the public to be safety conscious and report anyone with suspicious characters to the police.

He, however, called on the people of Bogoro to live in peace with each other and avoid taking justice into their own hands.
