Bruce Springsteen postpones two dates in Philadelphia, citing unspecified illness

Last minute concert cancellations seem to be taking their toll.

Bruce Springsteen announced today on social media that his Wednesday night show at Citizens Bank Park of Philadelphia and a Friday night show at the same location have been postponed.

This is the second major gig postponement from the past week. Lionel Richie had to cancel a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden last weekend due to alleged difficulties getting to New York on time.

Springsteen, 73, did not specify what illness prompted the postponements. Dates will be rescheduled, his social media post read.

Earlier this year, Springsteen must have missed being honored by New Jersey with a proclamation stating “Bruce Springsteen Day” because he contracted Covid-19.

"Please save your tickets as they will be valid for the rescheduled shows," Springsteen's tweet tells About Philadelphia.

Springsteen just kicked off the second leg of their US tour last week with two performances in Chicago.
