Cairo Ojuogbo has been expelled – reveals the Delta APC campaign committee

The Delta State All Progressives Congress, APC, Gubernatorial Campaign Committee has declared Dr. Cairo Ojuogbo expelled from the party.

Deputy Director of the Media and Publicity Committee, Dr. Tonye Timi, revealed this in a signed statement made available to DAILY POST.

The APC noted that Ojuogbo was expelled by the Ward 6 Executive Committee, the Ika South Local Government Area Executive Committee and finally by the State Executive Committee (SEC), which recognized and understood the danger he posed by his disruptive actions to the growth and success of the party.

The APC said: "We watched with disgust as the shameful vituperation of Dr. Cairo Ojougbo, the expelled and now former member of our party, the APC, against Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, our candidate for the post of governor.

“Dr. Ojougbo spent nearly an hour on Arise TV hurling abuse at our candidate and lead Ovie Omo-Agege. We have also observed that Dr Cairo has scoured the media circuit for some gratuitous advice to vilify our candidate in order to demoralize and discourage his many APC supporters from supporting his legitimate attempt to reclaim his stolen mandate in full day by a PDP brigand in connivance with the INEC.

"We understand that Dr. Cairo Ojougbo is on a paid mission to engage in a media tour to demoralize and discourage APC members and agents, devitalize massive public support for Ovie Omo-Agege, and undermine his case before the Delta State Elections Tribunal. It is, as has been observed, a campaign of disruption paid for by the disruptors.

"Many concerned citizens and voters have called to express their disgust at the many lies and fabrications against Omo-Agege by Dr. Cairo, and we have given our assurances that we acknowledge his artificial disruptions but remain focused on the reinstatement of the mandate given to Ovie Omo-Agege in the March 18, 2023 gubernatorial election but now stolen by PDP rogues and brigands.

"We will not be distracted in the pursuit of this course by Dr. Cairo and other such troublemakers, nor will we allow our candidate to be reduced to the level of gangster behaviors induced by drugs for which Cairo has gained notoriety in the national arena for two decades.

"We vividly remember the ransacking of Dr Cairo Ojougbo and the theft of a ballot box during the PDP National Convention in Eagle Square, Abuja in 2001, attended by the President of Nigeria.

“No, we will not accept that the Deputy Speaker of the Senate of Nigeria, Obarisi Omo-Agege, condescends to the level of a notorious troublemaker and brigand, Dr Cairo Ojougbo and engages in humiliating public disorder with him."
